The Journey of my Marketing started at a conference I attended as I was really interested in Affiliate marketing the dream of working full Time in Heavy Industry and earning a passive income while I was at work. The weekend conference absolutely blew me away with options and niches that are open to Affiliate Marketing.

My first and second site did okay, I went and spent another 5k to find out why I could not crack that elusive page one. I had followed all the modules , worked on content and paying an Indian company for my SEO. Giving them specific instructions that I was told by these experts. Still no luck unfortunatley, and when I look back know it was presenters just upselling not actually telling you how they rank.

Every one was recommending Semrush and look for the low hanging fruit with long tail keywords. Which to this today is still solid advice but with the cost of Seo even in India or the Philipines is in USD so the returns were just not their.

I then started looking at Niches within Australia this was when who ever built the most links and fast ranked really well. Google was just full of spam, all these softwre bots building thousands of links a day with no reprocussions or penalties like today.

So I found a Niche that seemed okay and ran a direct feed to my website, updated my Blog page three times a week. Again following what I spent over $12000 on attending events and once again stuck at position 11 for almost 20 keywords.

Then I purchased a webscraper trying to figure what these top markerters are doing to rank, their backlink profiles etc. These were in Niches that today are still virtually impossible to rank for. It took almost all night to scrape a site and the full week to do the top 5. As I was at the point where I was doing everything right and had solid linking profile.

Then I found most of the top sites were linking to from memory a service called seo a link vine. Which was obvious hundreds of links coming out with the same IP , not relevent site and high outbound links.

From thosand of lines I learnt how to break down my competition link profile and see the number of links, the domain age (DA), trust Factor(TF) and then grouped them in authority from high to low. This is when I finally had success, I could see how they were using there links exactly what pages where getting home page links, inner page links.

So the next software I purchased was Ahrefs which is more expensive than Semrush, especially for us Aussies. It allowed me to find links easier but certainly does not explain the whole story of any website.They were using PBNS and then the internet changed for ever.

These link farms were taken down and people had reinvent seo without these farms. Pure and simple. I ended up ranking my site in the top 5 for 3 pages when you understand what profile your competitor has and how to make your profile stronger and better.

I used Foundation Links a lot as they are still required, no follow links are still required, follow links are required, forum and web 2.0 links are still value just do not add the link juice as most are no follow. Which when building a profile hiding in plain site is a must.

So now 11 years on I have decided to open Fuelled SEO. Since my first success I have only done linking myself , your get better quality links and very targeted approach. So I am here to help all local businesses and even national companies have a real red hot go at getting a great outcome for your business.

Now I cannot control conversions , and even in local seo now the investment required to rank and stay there is important.

To be honest I was blown away by the price some companies charge for such a weak service. My interpretation from all this was simple, it will take 12 month at least to rank for this keyword to keep you coming back.
